I’m the Lead Pastor of a new church start in Rome, GA called Cloverleaf Church thats launching in February 2011. I’ve been married to my wife Ellen for a little over 3 years. We don’t have children yet but would love some in the future.
I grew up attending First Baptist Church Kennesaw where I became a Christian at 14 during a youth conference. It was then I figured out what living a life for Christ was all about. A few years later I felt Christ calling me in “full-time ministry”. Since then I’ve been working in various churches in a number of roles from Student Pastor, to Communications Pastor, to Media Director, to Lead Pastor. It’s been a fun and crazy ride.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in May 2008 with a Mass Communications degree. I do a fair amount of speaking to students and adults at various student ministry events around the Southeast (such as Disciple Nows, FCAs, etc…).

I look to churches like Northstar, Northpoint, Westridge, Newspring, Elevation, Oak Leaf, Saddleback, and Lifechurch.tv as successful models of how to do church and do church well. They have no problem with breaking down barriers and reaching people where they are, as opposed to waiting for people to come to them.
Mac is definitely better than PC…I’m a Georgia Bulldogs fan through and through…
I like all types of music, but country (except for Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift…). My favorites are Dave Matthews Band, David Crowder Band, John Mayer, Hillsong, Kristian Stanfill, Gavin Degraw, U2, Coldplay, Rascal Flatts…just to name a few…really whatever is on I will probably listen to a little.
My wife and I love sitting down and watch a variety of TV shows together…presently we are watching 6 and I watch 1 that Ellen doesn’t like. The 6 WE watch are LOST, Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Heroes, Fringe, Supernatural and House M.D. Sometimes its difficult to keep them apart but we love them.
I love the Star Wars movies, all the Indiana Jones movies, The Lord of the Rings movies, the Harry Potter movies…anything with Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, or Will Smith…I love Will Ferrell comedies…movies are a passion of mine and if I couldn’t work in church, I’d want to be a movie critic…imagine getting paid to watch movies…UNBELIEVABLE!
I love to read…I read a lot of books…I look to authors like Andy Stanley and Nelson Searcy for church leadership and strategy. For recreational reading I love Dan Brown and the Harry Potter books.
